Noun

selbri (plural selbri)

  1. (Lojban grammar) A word acting like a predicate, which is immediately preceded by one sumti ("argument"), sumti 1, and usually followed by one or more sumti ("arguments"): sumti 2, sumti 3... up to no further than sumti 5. It is analogous to a verb in natural languages (non-constructed languages).
A selbri together with its associated sumti (if any) forms a bridi. A selbri without any sumti is called an observative bridi.
